Future Lowcountry Chefs! West Ashley High School

In July, we welcomed Chef Reggie Miller to the Table for his Eat Dirt! Dinner, which featured his passion for highlighting local farmers and purveyors. As our youngest chef to date at 22, he did not disappoint! This time, he’s bringing the culinary talent from his previous high school to delight us with a range of talent and flavors.

MEET YOUR CHEFS

When we spoke with chef Reggie Miller about cooking for Transformation Table, we learned that he participated in Ashley High School’s Culinary Arts program. After further discussion, we thought it would be great to invite the Culinary Arts students whom he supports at the school. We approached Culinary Arts Director Jason Wheless at West Ashley, and he loved the idea of their culinary students participating in a Transformation Table dinner. “It would be an excellent opportunity for them to apply their skills in a real-world setting and contribute to such a meaningful cause.”

Chef Reggie will lead the team and help them create the menu. We can’t wait to see what the students come up with!

We look forward to featuring other culinary arts programs in the future.
