Flavors of Morocco Dinner

This dinner was bittersweet for us. Our chef, Fatima Akel, first cooked for Transformation Table back in 2017 along with her husband William. This evening, in 2024, Fatima was cooking alone as William sadly passed away from cancer. An evening dedicated to William, Fatima prepared a meal that laid the foundation for an evening of great food and even better conversation.

“It was awesome! Just magical! The group was so special, and I didn’t know one person before that night. There was a special connection that was made as we got to know each other more as the night went on. I felt connected in a way that you can’t describe to people that I had just met. I know we will be in touch and will cheer each other on with our various passion projects!”

Being in a space with people from diverse backgrounds who were open to sharing their experiences; showing their love for humanity and community made me very happy.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this amazing movement!
