This is was our first dinner of 2018, and we were thrilled to ring in the new year with a special dinner made by Rose Ann Meagher. Through a homestyle Filipino meal, Rose Ann shared her Filipino culture and heritage through a menu that took us to the family table in the Philippines. How cool is that?!
We discussed food, music, Charleston history, and the importance of bringing along the next generation. It was a great way to begin 2018!
Were were honored to have Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg and his wife Sandy join us at the table, and what they say about them being regular folk is true. We discussed food, music, Charleston history, and the importance of bringing along the next generation. It was a great way to begin 2018!

“Last September, we were invited to participate in a Transformation Table dinner and the concept of sitting at a table with 10 strangers to talk about anything under the sun intrigued us. We didn’t know what to expect since it was our first time attending. The experience was one of a lifetime.
At the table, the conversations were so diverse and interesting that we wanted to be a part of them all. By the end of the evening we made up our minds to host one at our home.
Hosting a dinner was even more exciting since we didn’t know everyone that was expected to come. Guests started arriving at 5:30 and after three and a half hours it was sad to see everyone leave. The food and service was as good as any exclusive restaurant. It was satisfying to see how comfortable people felt about sharing their lives and experiences.
We will cherish hosting a Transformation Table and encourage anyone to do the same. I know we will do it again.
Thank you, Tina.”

“Cooking is the most significant act of love you can give to people from all walks of life. It was a great honor and pleasure to be a guest chef at Transformation Table.
Tina, whom I call a Woman of Substance, together with the Hosts, Charles and Diana, were so gracious and hospitable, I thought I was in my own kitchen! I was really made to feel at home.
Introducing authentic Filipino cuisine to the guests was such a delight. The expressions on their faces were priceless! Mayor Tecklinberg said, “It was the best meal I’ve ever had!” Coming from people with diverse backgrounds, besides the fun and the laughter, the substantive conversations were amazing.
Thank you for indulging me to bring about love, togetherness and understanding through my food, one ingredient at a time. I’ve never been more proud to be a Filipino!“
