Samuel and La tasha welcomed us to their new home in North Charleston for a dinner of Vietnamese food prepared by Janice Hudgins, and assisted by her husband Johnny and brother Ryan. Janice cooked for the very first Transformation Table dinner last November, so it was special to have her back again. As for conversation around the table? Honestly, I have no idea what people talked about because there were so many conversations going on at once.

Coolest thing ever.

My wife and I had such a great time at the Transformation Table. At the risk of sounding too cliche, it was truly transformational. The concept of meeting strangers and exchanging stories about life, work, whatever over great food is the recipe the world needs for real change. Complete strangers from all walks of life purposefully looking for a common thread and building upon that thread all evening long – what more could you ask for? I can’t tell you how grateful we are for hosting and being a part of such a wonderful experience. We look forward to being a both a guest and a host again in the future. Thank you, Tina, for your warm spirit, vision and execution.”

I wanted to make sure the food was comforting and had a story behind it. These guests are coming together for the first time for a wonderful purpose, so I knew my food was the ‘ice breaker’ in a sense. I love Tina’s passion to build a community through food, so I wanted to match that passion with food I was passionate about.”
